Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist in the greater Tampa Bay area. This position is responsible for high-volume billing, payment applications, and collections, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and customer communication. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within an ERP system and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare, review, and process a high volume of customer invoices in alignment with contract terms.
- Work with vendor portals and resolve rejected invoices or billing issues promptly.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Accounts Receivable & Payment Application
- Accurately apply payments received via ACH, wire, check, and credit card.
- Maintain and reconcile AR aging reports.
- Support month-end close activities related to AR.
Collections
- Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and drive timely resolution.
- Arrange payment plans when necessary and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Maintain clear records of collection efforts and customer communication.
Systems & Process Support
- Perform daily work within the company ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar).
- Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and workflow efficiency.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or collections.
- Prior experience in a high-volume environment.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with pivot tables and lookups is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
